Please Have Mercy On Me
I hate asking again, but I know for a fact prayer makes a difference. I know without wavering James 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
I have an appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon for my back and knees. I have been on very strong medications for 10 plus years. Morphine three times a day now. Fentanyl for breakthrough and oxycodone for break through.
The doctors know as well as I do my body has adjusted and it just doesn’t work, but higher doses is death for sure.
They are going to put me in Presbyterian hospital twice a week for Ketamine Infusions. Could be very dangerous, but their hope is it will resets my pain receptors and I can go back to lower doses of pain medications while avoiding surgery a little longer. Because of my heart issues no one is jumping up and down to put me to sleep.
Not for sure when the Ketamine Infusions will start, but for the 10,000th time please pray for me as well as my dear sweet wife as she is worried to death.
Thanks,
Carl

Re: Please Have Mercy On Me
Prayers for you. You are in for a long journey and a very tough one getting off those meds. In 2012-2014, they had me on hydrocodone and oxy for almost 24 months. The withdrawal from that was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. I ended up using a suboxone to help me get off them. Then I had to go through more problems getting off the suboxone but it was not as unpleasant as the opiates. It took me over two years to finally get completely free. I went through anxiety, depression and literally physical illness. Opiates completely destroy your brains ability to properly process your bodies pain receptors. I went through much trial and error in trying to get off opiates but ended up getting help from specialty doctors. Been completely free of them for 6 years now. Prayers for the journey you will have to endure.

Prayers sent.

I believe that, but every time I turn around I seem like I am asking. I sure need it now.powerboatr wrote: ↑Mon Aug 28, 2023 4:50 pm prayers on the way

Because of “Go Fund Me” from friends I have been able to buy a heavy duty mobility scooter. I also have had a ramp built for my mobility scooter. It turned out great. I was able to get a lift for my suburban.

It doesn't matter if it's the 10,000th prayer request or the millionth, you and your wife will always have them readily, with enthusiasm, and with gratitude to God.
