Re: TSRA Annual starts today
I had planned on going this year, but have too many irons in the fire at home.
As a TSRA life member, I appreciate what all the folks do for us, but could not attend.
Happy trails.

Re: TSRA Annual starts today
As am I, which is one of the problems. Of the 30,000 plus members around 20,000 are life members so no further income from them. 10,000 annual members are not sufficient to support operations. They dropped the print edition of the magazine to save $150,000 a year.
So, we need members to evangelize and life members to help out. I've started a small monthly donation to The Alamo Society. That's going to renamed so no one mistakes it's purpose.

Surprise, JMorris and I missed you at the AGM. He is quite correct, TSRA has had to make major budget cuts in order to stay solvent. The digital version of the Sportsman is great, and as most, I miss the print edition. Unfortunately, at $150k + per year it was not possible to keep it going and stay solvent. The new Exec Director is a retired Border Patrol Agent and is working hard to keep us in the black.
TSRA WILL have a presence at the NRA meeting in Dallas, hope to see you there.

Re: TSRA Annual starts today
Sounds like the TSRA needs to implement the never ending ability to upgrade Life Memberships to a Super Duper Life Membership or A Really Super Duper Life Membership to keep those life $$$'s flowing in.
But seriously, good to hear that the leaders are looking at expenses and how to continue forward with their #1 mission - relentlessly push back at the Democrats and their squishy Republicans in the Texas legislature's attempts to infringe upon our gun rights.
