Thursday is wide open. I'm still waiting fro my daughter to give me the game times on Saturday, but I am fairly certain they'll be spread out ruling out any possibility for anything that day. Thursday is the best.

We should do that again when it warms up a bit and stops raining/sleeting/snowing.
C-Dub! Why wait Paw Paw and his friend and Andy C and me faced high 30's temp and wind gusts to match for a get together. It was fun watching the clay birds move like doves! You missed that one. Seems like perfect weather for another one :biggrinjester: I'll me up there the 4th of March.
I remember one of our gatherings like that. Was I at the one you're mentioning?
I think the last one I was at back around early November or so was a bit chilly and windy, but I don't think this is the meeting Paw Paw is talking about.

It didn't take long to nail down a date. Since we have several days to go, we pick up a couple more.

March 5, Thursday, 0900 at Elm Fork Skeet area

No, the one Puma Guy is talking about was February or March 2 years ago. There was only Puma, AndyC, a friend of mine from work, and me. Everyone else chickened out because of the cold. ;-)

TAM, that day it wasn't drizzling rain, but it was colder and the wind was high and gusty. Like Puma said, the clays were flying and dancing like doves. Hitting them was a real challenge.

No, I haven't made your acquaintance as of yet. I think I planned to be there but came down with a bout of bronchitis. I remember Andy saying the wind was fierce at that one, too.
I thought we had met once. Didn't you leave early once and forget a bag with a partial box of shells once?

That was me - left a box of 12 ga in a bag. You had your daughter with you I believe. I think that was the get together when we had a picnic and BBQ. I know there have been a couple of others but I wasn't able to make them. TAM wasn't at either of the shoots I've attended. I remember you were really fast to get on the birds.

I thought so. I may even still have that bag and box of shells around somewhere. I have a hard time throwing stuff I don't need away.

Hope you can make it. I was hoping Saturday would be open for me but our grand daughters have soccer games scheduled most of the day. I thought of you and one of the meet-up/shoots we had. I got a Group-on for a restaurant that serves South African dishes. The lead was about "farmer's sausage" and the chef makes his own. It's not real close to us, but if we're ever in the area of the place I'm going to give it a try. I remember you bringing some to the BBQ/picnic.

Hey guys, I'm going to let my grandson William skip school Thursday to come shoot with us. He's been wanting to do this, but was worried he might embarrass himself. It's the whole myth about getting knocked down by a 12 gauge.

Any objections?

Some of you have already met him. He ran the traps for us one time while C-Dub's daughter kept score.

Paw Paw,
That's cool.
I have a 20 Ga Model 1100 standard wt w/IC choke.
A 20 Ga O/U and even a .410 O/U both are Skeet chokes. if you want I can bring one of them for your grandson.

If you could bring the 20ga O/U, that would be great! I have some Winchester AA #8 shot he can use.

At least it would give him a choice. He wants to shoot my Browning, but I think he's a little afraid of it. ;-)
