Fenix P1D single cell is always with me. When I have an extra pocket, such as when wearing a jacket, the Olight T20 is a fave for EDC. The recessed switch is sometimes a bit inconvenient, however it allows for using the light as a candle, which I consider a plus.
Just lost my T20, ordered a replacement from batteryjunction along with an Olight M20. Is it possible to have too many flashlights? I think not.

Yes it is. On a very dark night, I have to have a Fenix P1D to find the switch to turn on my Surefire.iratollah wrote:Is it possible to have too many flashlights? I think not.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
OK, so just got done shining this Fenix PD20 in my backyard after sundown and comparing it to:
1. Streamlight TLR-1 (my Glock-mounted bedside table light)
2. Surefire 6D LED (my AR-15 light)
3. Coast LED Lenser 623156
Seriously, I can't believe it myself, but this tiny little Fenix light with only a single CR123 battery is brighter than ALL of them. Only the Streamlight TLR-1 comes close (and it is close, just a bit more yellowish tinted light - but almost equally as bright).
I'm a bit disappointed in my Surefire 6D now. It may be the weakest of the bunch (and it was the most expensive - like $70-something for the light plus an extra $30 for a push-button tail cap to replace the stupid twist on/off tailcap it comes with).
Of course, I didn't swap in new batteries for any of the three "older" lights, so that may have something to do with it. Totally non-scientific tests. But still amazing how much light this little Fenix puts off.
I am thoroughly impressed!

Build quality?
I'd be interested in a Streamlight vs Surefire vs Fenix torture test
I'm sure some video game hero living in his mother's basement has done one over on arf.com, I'm just to lazy too look.
I'll be giving fenix a good look since I'm going through the painstaking process of selecting a light for my patrol rifle.

If you're not already running one of the rechargeable CR123 batteries, try it what that. It will be even brighter.austinrealtor wrote: Seriously, I can't believe it myself, but this tiny little Fenix light with only a single CR123 battery is brighter than ALL of them.
Re: Fenix vs Olight
Only had the light for half a day now, but the initial build quality seems equal to Streamlight/Surefire. But only time will tell the true story on quality/reliability.gigag04 wrote:Build quality?

The only drawback I can see so far is it's almost too small. I'm afraid I'm going to lose it or misplace like I did my larger but less expensive Coast light (hopefully the clip will help me avoid just setting it down someplace). And I can see the possibility of losing (or never obtaining) a sure grip on the light in a tense situation.
I'll probably also order the Olight T20 that was my second choice at some point. It's longer (two 3V cells) but just about as thin. Give me multiple options.
Re: Fenix vs Olight
EDIT: Nevermind, Just realized I you already got one - didn't read the whole threadaustinrealtor wrote:Notice a lot of orders from batteryjunction.com and 4sevens.com
those who've ordered from those places, satisfied with service? Does either take Pay Pal?
I'm not sure if they take paypal, but 4sevens has great service and products.
I bought a 4sevens Preon 2, which is like the size of a sharpie and puts out 160 lumens (I think - check the website), which is very bright for such a small device.
Best part about the Preon 2 I have is that it uses 2 AAA batteries, instead of the expensive 123 batteries. I'm very satisfied with it.
Here is a picture of it for size reference, it's in the top right - the pen looking thing:

Re: Fenix vs Olight
gigag, here's some info for you .... I left my Fenix PD20 clipped to my pants pocket the other day and inadvertantly washed it with the pants. Didn't even realize I'd done it until I heard it clanking around in the dryer. Pulled it out of dryer, barely a scratch on it, turned it on, no problems. Has not missed a beat. Still works perfectly. STILL on ORIGINAL CR123A battery !!!! (this I don't understand).gigag04 wrote:Build quality?

Anyway, after a 25 minute wash, rinse, repeat, and spin cycle followed by about 3 or so minutes banging around in the dryer, I'm convinced it's well built (and quite thankful as well).
