All the justifications are in section 9.
Not to be confused with a Section 8 discharge.

Re: Texas Law/Code Help
Yeah, Fox 4 put up a story on their FB about a homeowner being attacked after confronting someone breaking into his car(
) and there were a few people that think they know they law because one of them is neighbors with a cop and they had this conversation and another who knows the law because she knows that you can have a concealed weapon in your vehicle w/o a licence......
I knew I, among with others who were better informed, was wright with my argument and decided to back it up with some facts.
Thanks for helping me out.

just indicating to others it's a link/shortcut directly to 9, which you referencedspeedsix wrote:...and the point of the red highlighting is:????

or the Penal code in general

I prefer to read directly from the Code you referenced instead of the CHL handbooks ....
And no PDF reader is needed.

Re: Texas Law/Code Help
Did you know the MPA was expanded to include your boats?
Re: Texas Law/Code Help
I think i had heard that before but it never crossed my mind until you said something about it.smoothoperator wrote:Did you know the MPA was expanded to include your boats?
How would that work if you carried it on your person, as opposed to a saddle bag, while on a motorcycle??

A PDF Reader is software program one must download and install to read Portable Document Format docs, which is the format given in the other link above.speedsix wrote: ...what's a PDF reader???
Examples: Foxit Reader, Adobe Acrobat Reader, etc etc etc

Yes ... boats fall under the MPA now... even "on Campus" so unlicensed persons in a canoe/kayak in the College Campus Duck pond ...MedicMan218 wrote:I think i had heard that before but it never crossed my mind until you said something about it.smoothoperator wrote:Did you know the MPA was expanded to include your boats?

Well, perhaps the U.T. rowing team will be safer on Lake Austin.

HB 25 http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLook ... &Bill=HB25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
added boats to MPA (Penal Code ch 46) effective last Sept 1st http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/BillLook ... &Bill=HB25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Boats/Cars are treated the same now. Like carried on person in the car is ok, but wearing "on person" don't get out of the car (except going/coming from residence etc) .... so, for boats/canoes/kayaks/watercrafts/ don't exit your boat to walk around the flats wadefishing, don't jump up on a dock to get gas/run in and buy bait etc while wearing if unlicensed ... another good reason to get a CHL ... so one can wade fish/swim/exit the watercraft with the Glock to cool off during hot summer...
