MPA - What Chapter/Section?

Post by Scott in Houston »

What chapter and section is the Motor Vehicle Protection Act? Is it part of 46?

I'd like to get clarification on it as it is today.

Thanks in advance.

Texas' webmaster has had 6 months to update it, we should get onto them, they need to get the watercraft integrated on the main Statutes website so it reflects/shows it amended ..."as it is today" :mrgreen:

MPA chapter 46 (scroll to 46.02)

HB 25 added boats to vehicles in Chapter 46 effective Sept 1, 2011
http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/tlodocs/ ... 00025F.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So, until the main website page is updated, you need to see both pages above to see what the law is "today."

Some might find it easier to look things up here,

True, that's more up to date, already incorporating HB 25 into 46.02 ... but if "the People" keep doing work better and faster than "the Government" they'll need to downsize and reduce people's taxes and then the People end up with more money with which to buy products and that creates jobs in manufacturing and distribution and the entire plot to ruin America starts to fail. ;-)

The Govt probably needs to hire more assistants for the webmaster and some secretaries for each and extra proofreaders ... and a proofreader's assistant and their secretaries ... and an executive to schedule a meeting for them to all get together and a project manager .... Actually, it might be too big a job, they should ask a hired consultant who will probably advise that the Federal Govt step in to help. :roll:

No need to go to both pages to get the latest changes. They are on the DPS site, just not on the main page. Need to go to the "Forms" page to get the updated CHL-16.

Liberty - Thanks a lot for bringing that site/blog or whatever it is to our (mine anyway) attention. I have bookmarked it for future use. Seems almost as or as good as the CHL16.

I think its better ;-)
I created it because I hate pdf files. and the Wiki's are easier for me to use. I originally wrote it for my own use, but thought some might find it useful. I will attempt to update it for the next legislative session as the laws become signed. I also would like to link some of the laws to commentary explaining what some of these things mean.

I will be proof reading it again this weekend against the new CHL-16, but I think I got all the changes

:iagree: I've never been a fan of PDF ... I also get irritated that the State forces Realplayer usage too to watch hearings/Legislative sessions. and every day having to kill TKbell ... but I guess Apple Quicktime's resident update checker presents the same issue ... but there are alternatives, which State Employee gets paid to choose which companies get business so everyone will download that company product? :lol:
