No, but...it may lock up when you least want/expect it.sheesh... its not its fault it was born in the wrong era... its not gonna give you coodies or anything
That is the knock on the ILS S&Ws, and there are enough documented instances for knowledgeable S&W guys to steer clear of the ILS revolvers.
S&W has responded by offering many models "with" and "without"...and these days, many buyers are opting for "without".
If you are getting fewer offers...that is likely the reason.
I recently bought a model 638 with the ILS, and as soon as I can remove the ILS parts and install The Plug and put 100 rounds through it, I may carry it.
