Don't know the answer to that one, I would think that since you are the background review stage that you now only have to wait until they get your license back from wherever they send it off to. Probably sent to China on a slow boat. Be happy, you are a lot closer than a lot of us.

I have not been able to log onto the CHL site, so I called today. I got the bad news.

Since my check was cleared last week, I was informed that I am in line to get entered into the system. May take me 7-10 days.

Not what I wanted to hear... but 90 days or longer is not expected so I ain't crying.

While you're waiting you can hang out here & get to know the people, and go to the practice range. That's what I did.

Hmm...they recieved my app the same day as yours and I still havent gotten to the "Background Check". I think they like you better than me....

Yes, I am frustrated.... ...and (obviously) impatient!

I've purposely stayed away from the forum so you guys wouldn't make me all antsy about where I am in the process, but dang it I just couldn't do it any longer. Glad I checked in and found the link for the new DPS page. Like others, mine says all received except Passport Photo Holder and Background Check are under review. I like the new site.

I can certainly understand that, however, I did find a lot of good reads, very useful information, and "met" some good people on here, so while it was quite hard to see everyone posting about getting, not getting, or whatever status, the knowledge I gained was well worth the "antsy-ness" of it.

I understand about the delay in the background check due to the FBI processing the census takers prints, but why does that translate to DPS still hasn't gotten my paperwork entered into the system? It's been over two weeks since they received my paperwork, and I was already in the system since I did the initial "stuff" online. I know, we're all in the same boat. Just wait, go to the range, and be happy when it DOES update.

Try not to stress over it too bad. I took the same route you did. I applied online and then submitted the supporting paperwork via USPS. As you can see in my signature, it took around 2 weeks for them to begin "processing" my application. Apparently, they do a number of pre-work steps before entering the application into the system for official processing.

I know, you're right...it just seems like forever. :)

On a serious note my friend has had conformation since 03/13 that his packet was received and still the website shows no status yet???? He called and must have talked to the same and was told wait 5-10 weeks.

I told myself to forget about the CHL and it will come when it comes... well,, I am not at the beach nor having a party,, so what the heck.. lets LOG ON..
