Spoiler: afterwards I read that section of the bible. The fountains of water erupting around the ark are in the bible.

It has literally been decades since I have read the Bible. My girlfriend and I are going to reread the parts pertaining to Noah.

I want to add that I am especially appreciative of how respectfully you wrote it, knowing that you do not personally hold the same religious beliefs that many of us here hold dear. You have basically described it exactly as I have imagined it. I'll probably see it some day after it gets on Netflix, but I'll watch it as a B-grade sci-fi flick instead of a biblical recounting. Or not. Even without being freighted with the spiritual implications, it sounds like a pretty badly made movie.........sort of a allegory for how democrats do government........spend elephant money to buy a mouse.

Plus you have a much better attention span than me.
