I just got mine in the mail yesterday. It took right at 60 days, but that also covered 2 holidays.

Mine seemed to take forever but once I got the pin it was only 44 days before I had my plastic in hand.

Took my course on Oct. 28.
Sent my packet in on Nov. 2.
Got the return receipt on Nov. 6.
Got my pin on Dec.4
License issued on Jan.14
Plastic in hand Jan. 17

Thanks for the link. OK, I logged in, and this is what it said: "Packet Mailed to Applicant."

Well, I mailed them back the packet by certified mail on 12/10/07, and I know they received it, so does this mean that they don't track where it is in the process once they've received the stuff back from the applicant, or does this mean that they sent me my license?

If they had sent your card, the status would begin with "Application Completed". The rest says something like "License Sent or Certificate Active".

So, no, you're still in the queue.

If you filled out your application online, that might account for the "Packet mailed to Applicant"

What you're waiting to see is "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"

Annoyed Man, looks like you are about 14 days ahead of me in the timeline. I'm still waiting on my PIN.

Ammo two, I've had my PIN# ever since I took the class. I don't remember if it came with the stuff that was mailed to me by the state before the class, or if the class directors gave it to me.

Annoyed...I did not request a packet as you did, rather I just obtained a packet from my CHL instructor. I am almost at the 30 day mark, so I expect to receive the PIN before too much longer.

Then my PIN# must have come with the packet that DPS sent me before I took the class.

Well I've been logging in every day and check my status, and today it has changed and reads "Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent."

I can't imagine what it would be as I prepared my envelope for mailing in with my instructor. I have no materials left over that I did not enclose.
