Hey, Rhett,

You'll get used to it quickly. I've gone from not owning a handgun to carrying pretty much everyplace I go within about eight months, and at this point, I'm just not worried about it anymore. I can look in the mirror and tell where the gun is, but no one else has seemed to notice. I figure that other CHL holders may be able to tell that I'm carrying, but they won't care, and anyone who would care can't imagine that I'd be carrying. Plus, who cares what they think, I'm a law abiding citizen abiding by the law. If it offends or bothers someone, well, they can go pound sand.
I will add, as a fifth circumstance in the situation of the House of Representatives, restraining them from oppressive measures, that they can make no law which will not have its full operation on themselves and their friends, as well as on the great mass of the society. - J Madison, Federalist #57

Welcome.

Hope you like the 709. I just bought one. Took it to PSC Monday and fired about 50 rds. worked fine. Real easy to carry. Replaces my HK P2000sk when nessesary. Nice and slim.

Have fun @ UH. I was there in the late 60s and early 70s.

I can see where some of my posts can be interpreted as humorous........But USA1 is still the Jester King! I especially appreciate his utilization of visual effects....perhaps words fail him......NOT! :woohoo

Easy there DoubleJ. Not everyone in Austin is a bleeding heart. Some of us even hang out on the ultra conservative side. We are a minority but we are here!

Nice thing about Austin is you can always get on the range! :thumbs2: :fire

LIA,
you're a riot! I've been laughing so hard at all this, I've had tears running down my face. Cleared right up though, when I got to the mailbox and there was nothing I wanted in it!!!! Just stuff from people wanting stuff from me!

Just did the same thing OP did yesterday... it was like everyone had their eyes on me....a bit unsettling. After a while i got over it...went to eat at my favorite burger joint...got a drink at my favorite gas station..all went smoothly. I just gotta get past the tension and nervousness.
