WTB Glock 26, $325-410, depending on condition

I recall a recent post on this forum about a distributor that had great deals on used but refurbished Glocks. I think it was "GT Enterprises". I would think you could find said post using the search feature, or perhaps somebody remembers the exact name of the company and will post it. I hope this helps.

GT Distributors in Austin often sells used cop Glocks (almost exclusively Glock 22 and Glock 23 in .40-cal) in the $300 to $325 range. These have usually been shot A LOT, and are rough but still usable. Certainly not the "mint condition" the OP seeks. But the lowest price I've ever personally seen on a baby Glock was a G27 .40-cal at GT's for $389, and I thought that was a steal. I have not seen many 9mm Glocks for sale used there - an occasional G17.

Their new Glock prices are unbeatable, but you must be LEO or first responder to buy one. No exceptions.

Well, since I've expressed my lack of knowledge on the subject this far, let me throw this one out: is it true that as opposed to some other brands of pistols Glocks are "easier" (cheaper also?) to refurbish?

Glocks don't need to be refurbished. They are the AKs of pistols. They will fire thousands of rounds reliably even if you never clean it nor lubricate it. It will digest any ammo reliably. Glock 17 and 19s are even designed to be fired UNDERWATER. A Glock will work at any temperature. Police in Alaska use them in 70 degree below temperatures with 100% reliability. You may dry fire a Glock till your face is blue and the gun will not be damaged. That's why I love Glock pistols.

Although Glocks are fine handguns, the link you sent actually says most any handgun will fire under water ONCE and it continues to say that although Glocks may be fired underwater, that they may also blow up due to pressure. The Taurus 24/7 goes through the same stunts of driving trucks over them, burying them in sand, etc and firing them. Plus, unlike a Glock, has a manual safety and the "second strike" capability that Glock does not. especially since an FFL is completely unnecessary. I am not paying for an FFL unless law requires it. Never had a seller demand that either though.

BTW, what is the price for a NEW Glock 26 at a DFW gun show? I want to know if it is worth the time, gasoline, and money to go to a gun show. I mean, is it cheaper? My local pawn shop sells a Glock 26 olive drab with lifetime repair warranty for only $500. However, I don't like olive drab. I like black. If I can get a NEW black one at a DFW gun show for considerably less than $500, then I'm going to the next DFW area gun show. Otherwise, I'll probably buy the olive drab one and paint it black.

No idea on gun show prices, but new black Glock 26 is $525 at Academy. And Cabelas was running some special, XX amount off all Glocks until Christmas (can't remember amount and don't have newspaper ad in front of me).

At these prices you are going to have to do some serious looking, whenever I need a used glock 400.00 is the most I will pay for any model, but I always spend about a week or two searching. 450.00 is the most I will pay for any model brand new, most shops buy glocks at 440.00 cost. try glocktalk.com, or do a WTS Glock search on google, it has worked for me twice. The last few shows I attended (Ft. Worth, Mesquite), did not offer that significant of a savings, so it may not be worth your time. Good news, I bought a used Glock 19 a few months ago, and for 57.00 dollars, they replaced dead night sights and the recoil spring. They do a safety check on the gun and replace any worn parts for that flat fee. This may eliminate your worry over warranty.

My cost for the Glock 26 in OD is $440, in black it is $490.00. I imagine that the larger dealers who purchase in quantity may get another 5% off these prices. Good luck on your search......

I went to the Fort Worth gun show on Oct.31 a few months back and I saw a LOT of Glock's priced at $449.00. I THINK they were all new one's too. Some were more, but not a lot.

With regard to bargain Glocks, my own wife sold my Glock 19 for $50! That's right, there's only ONE zero behind that 5! I now own ZERO guns because my wife is an anti-gun liberal who sold all my guns one day when I went to work. I am buying these guns as presents for my family members. Hopefully, they'll let me borrow them and shoot them occasionally.

Now I remember why only 2 people know my safes combination, and the other lives 2 hours away. I would be furious for so many reasons if the wife were to do that. I would think the complete lack of respect for my property and feelings would be enough to consider moving on. What else would a person like this do?
