I ordered from 4Sevens.com three times and was happy with the service. Shipped quick from GA. They take Paypal but I used plastic. When comparing prices, remember 4Sevens.com prices include shipping, and you can often find a 5-10% off code pretty easy on CPF.austinrealtor wrote:Notice a lot of orders from batteryjunction.com and 4sevens.com
those who've ordered from those places, satisfied with service? Does either take Pay Pal?

Not one of the brands you mention, but take a look at the Nitecore D10; sells for around $55

They do a CR123 and AA version; I have several AA versions which run great on AA lithiums - infact I even sold off my Surefires and replaced with the D10.

I've dealt with them only four times....but each purchase was a positive experience.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
Thanks so much for the input from everyone.
Just ordered the Fenix PD20 from BatteryJunction.com ... $61.00 shipped USPS Priority Mail after 5% discount code (CPF2010). Actually ended up cheaper than 4Sevens.com when comparing apples to apples of Priority Mail shipping, and only a dollar more if compared to regular snail mail from 4Sevens.
Will let y'all know what I think when I get it. The final decision came down to this one or the Olight T20. But the PD20 has almost the same specs while using only a single CR123 battery and measuring about 2 inches shorter and 1/8-inch narrower. I might end up ordering the Olight sometime soon anyway, because I think I'm going to put my current backup EDC light (a larger Coast that isn't as easy to carry) on a light mount on one of my shotguns.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
I have 5 lights from streamlight...I use them frequently with work and they hold up great.
I have an SL-20 (big light)

A Stinger (back up)

A Strion LED (LOVE this light) - CAN BE HAD FOR UNDER $100 WITH BOTH AC AND CAR CHARGERS!

A TLR-1 (on my primary duty weapon)

And a TLR-3 (on my primary off duty weapon)

The first three are all rechargeable which is a huge plus for me - some like to cycle through batteries. I put them up against surefire anyday.
*EDIT* just realized you had ordered a light already. I'll be expecting pics and a review! I'm obviously WAY too into flashlights.
Can't decide what to put on my patrol rifle.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
Have a TLR-1 on my bedside Glock and it is probably the brightest light I own. Very impressed. I like the look and features of that Strion, may have to look at one of those next time I'm at GT's. Might be a good birthday present for my dad - who still relies on $5 plastic incandescent flashlights that never work when he needs them. Need to drag him into the 21st century. Just mount the recharger unit in his laundry room where he keeps his other flashlights and maybe he'll actually use it.
I'm curious to see how this Fenix compares. For EDC, I really prefer a smaller less obtrusive light. Really like the look/features of the Surfire E1B, but it typically runs about $150 from most stores. So hoping this Fenix will be a good lower-cost option.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
I've been buying these cheap chinese lights from Deal xtreme. They are pretty good lights and cheap. My last light was $11 and is a great EDC.
Re: Fenix vs Olight
I came across this "product review" for a LOT of flashlights, and thought I'd pass this along.
They are photograph comparisons of throw and spill of different flashlights.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
Interesting and worthwhile link, Joe. I was wondering why the first few lights were SO MUCH brighter so I clicked on the first one. It is $150 and about a foot long and is supposed to mount on an AR type rifle. So I guess he was comparing EVERY light he owns or could get his hands on, not just the little pocket lights. But still worthwhile to compare - some of the little lights project almost a light "tunnel" effect (like a spot light), while others offer much more radiant light around the main beam (much better for tactical use, I would think - fewer hard shadows = fewer surprises).
Re: Fenix vs Olight
Thanks austinrealtor. I was really looking for something like that, but limited to tactical flashlights only. For now, that's as close as I could find. My little SC1 Iluma was in there. I noticed a Fenix TK-10(I think), but didn't recognize a lot of those in the pics.

Re: Fenix vs Olight
Don't know about the LD10, but my LD20 has been a real workhorse. Lots of light and great battery life on Energizer E2s.austinrealtor wrote:Can't find my EDC flashlight. Misplaced it a few days ago. It will probably turn up, but going to use this as an excuse to find a newer/better model than the little Coast V2 I've been using. Can't justify $150+ for a good Surefire or Streamlight, so I've been looking at Fenix and Olight - specifically the single-battery pocket models Fenix LD10 and Olight T10. Anyone have an experience/opinions on those two? Or on these makers generally?

Re: Fenix vs Olight
Just got my Fenix PD20 in mail today from batteryjunction.com. Very fast shipping.
WOW! I mean WOW! this light is tiny.
Look at the photo ...
That's a 3-inch 12 gauge shotshell next to it.
It's very bright. Havnt compared it to other lights, but just casually playing around with it it's as bright as either of my much larger Coast lights from Home Depot, which were my EDC lights.
Anyway, more later. But so far, I'm impressed.
