so far as I know being born and rasied in Cali. the law's on what guns are "safe" to have per the list does not mean you cant own one or have one in the state. It means you cant sell one there. So far as a 10 round mag. goes there is no law in Ca that says you cant have a 15 round, once again its you cant buy one in the state. My g19 was bought there came w/ 2 15 round mags. But this was preban. However still leagal to have it there.

Please excuse my candor, sarcasm, levity, etc.,
IMO, there is nothing in California, Wisconsin, or New York that I NEED, that can't be delivered to me via USPS, FedEx, or UPS...LOL.
Plus...those places are too far away for me to go anyway...lol.

You're absolutely correct about both the list, and about pre-ban magazines. Here are some problems though....cheezit wrote:so far as I know being born and rasied in Cali. the law's on what guns are "safe" to have per the list does not mean you cant own one or have one in the state. 1) Some California cops are not going to ask where you bought the gun if it isn't on the list. They are going to arrest you for having allegedly bought a forbidden gun in California. Your lawyer will have to sort it out for you later.
2) Some California cops aren't going to check if it is a preban weapon or not. They're going to see a 15 round magazine, and confiscate your gun. Your lawyer will have to sort it out for you later.
3) Some California cops aren't going to be particularly mindful of your Constitutional rights. See THIS THREAD
for example. Your lawyer is going to have to sort it out for you.
If I owned a Glock 19 with 15 round magazines (actually, my wife owns one) and I was going to California and wanted to travel with that gun, I woud buy a couple of California legal magazines and be done with it, and leave the 15 rounders at home.

Better be on the safe side ---- I ordered a couple of 10-rounders and I have them already in time for my road trip this Thursday night. I don't want to spoil my kids' trip just because of 15-rounders. Oh well, I just need to remember though to stop before crossing the California stateline to unload the pistol and lock it up.... To all who replied, specially to TAM, many thanks sirs!

Just a little bit of added info. the best possibel way to travle in ca with a wepon is either with a trigger or cable lock on it or the wepon partly disassembled. basicly just remove the slide.

Thanks. Makes sense than just locking up the weapon on a lockable case.
