I agree 100%. I would suspect I am at the younger end of the spectrum of posters, and I have to tell you I know a fair amount of people who smoke from time to time. They are not who you would stereotypically expect; in the group we have mostly college educated young professionals (including a Doctor and an Attorney) who smoke on occasion. All people who make a good living and have not let a substance (this or any other) control their lives.PeteCamp wrote:You guys are all so serious!! I would advise anyone like that guy to run off and join the crew of the MV Steve Irwin. Then he could sail around in the Antartic wearing a tee shirt, shorts and Birkenstocks and smoke all the weed he wants while chasing down Japanese whalers. Course, he can't use his gun.
That being said, the odds of getting charged with possession when the contraband was on someone’s else person, and you had now knowledge of it is about 0% (IANAL, etc, etc). To be charged with possession you would need to “knowingly or intentionally” posses the weed. Not to be ignorant, but I am on a “don’t ask don’t tell” policy when traveling with friends. If you have knowledge of their possession I would have to imagine that would bring you a lot closer to crossing the law.
