Didn't know you had to do that. Thought it just unscrewed. I never saw one the the bushing end threads were too long. :oops: Small 3 corner file should clean the threads up after grinding or filing. I would but that one is yours. :lol:

When I was a teletype technician, I learned that there are official names for such parts, of course they are not suitable for the ten year old daughter rule. Some of them were called "Durnits" as in "Durnit, there goes another one." Some went by stronger epithets. :lol:

Make sure the old bushings aren't staked in before attempting to remove them or you'll be tapping new threads and installing oversize bushings. I prefer red locktite (the #272 red, IIRC) for keeping new ones in place.
