I understand the wife issue....I sat mine down and simply went over the basics beginning with the Second Amendment, Texas law, and the crappy and dangerous world we live in. I explained how I believe that it's my responsibility to take care of and protect myself and her to the greatest extent possible, as well, and how I will make the most of every legal means afforded me to do so. She's coming around slowly, but she'll get there.
Thanks for the suggestion on the Surefire and OC. My better half will soon have hers.
