Fall weather means comfortable carrying!

Re: Fall weather means comfortable carrying!
After almost ten years of carrying IWB (mostly 1911s), followed by almost five years of pocket carrying a .38, I’ve decided to carry OWB this season when weather permits.
I’ve got two 4” Redhawks, .44 Mag and .45 Colt. Also, in the last 13 months I’ve acquired a Model 24 3”, Model 25 4” and a Model 57 4”.
Obviously, these aren’t lightweights. I purchased Simply Rugged holsters to fit all of them. A good belt and suspenders should do the trick.
I’ve got a half dozen vests and I’ve found that untucked tall length shirts of various weights worn as outer cover work fine. For the few cold days, enough jackets and coats to suffice.

I use the Bianchi Carrylok 82 as well for my XD9SC and XD45c. I have one for my 1911 as well. Holds close, high, retention good, easy to use. I use it in IDPA even. Otherwise MTAC.

Looking forward to switching from the LCP back to the XDSC for every day "winter" carry. Do we really have winter here in Texas?

Yes It does. Out comes my Glock 20 from the safe in another couple of weeks and in goes the Glock 27. Once I can wear a light jacket or thicker clothing. Love my 10.

Fall weather also means more Outdoor gun range trips...for me.
There's just something about shooting on a brisk Fall morning that gets me all frisky.

I know, I know. Something about the smell of gunpowder in the morning ...USA1 wrote:Fall weather also means more Outdoor gun range trips...for me.

I look forward to cooler weather for carry. I used to prefer IWB carry because of its easier concealment. My purchase of a Raven Concealment holster convinced me to go OWB. The Raven Concealment holster is thin and it holds the gun close.

I use that same Galco most of the time for my 3.5" 1911. Sometimes I use a Bianchi 82. I have a Desantis Mini Slide that is the most comfortable and thinnest but about an inch of the end of the gun sticks out the bottom. A little too exposed if I did reach for somethin.
