As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

HUBRIS:
Definition---overbearing pride or presumption

Supposedly Olbermann asked for MORE MONEY...thus, my posting of the definition above...I hope the door caught him in the behind on the way out...I didn't really care what the man said all that much until I heard him talk a LOT of trash about our soldiers serving in the sandbox in one of his diatribes...that was all it took for me. My fondest desire in regards to this is that NO ONE ever hire this man again.

Perhaps he will show up on the President's re-election campaign and do some real damage.

I just hope he doesn't end up landing on a network that I actually watch and/or care one whit about, which was definitely not the case with (P)MSNBC.

I doubt if MSNBC sent him on his way. Looks like he had the highest ranked show for them, which thank God is not much. They should show that brain less Chris Mathew to the door, he's at the bottom.

Better yet, MSNBC can go away and no one would care.

I liked him. He was a breath of fresh air compared to others on another "News" network. He brought balance to the dominant conservative political propaganda.

I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

Now the liberals want him to run for Lieberman's Senate seat in Connecticut.

There are other events about the media which could make my fun meter rise (like the Federal de-funding of NPR) but this one is right up there.
Who knows - maybe Rachael Maddow will be next. Think of it... a "two fer".
My understanding of NPR is that the Feds fund about 5% annually of its budget.

That number should be 0%.

I personally didn't find him interesting. But I am glad that you are not afraid to come out and say that you liked him on this forum. It is one reason that I like to post here - I get to see a variety of viewpoints and reasoning. Not just a lot of folks all agreeing with each other.
