Thinking about doing my own handloads..

A youngster came up to me at the range on Sunday and reminded me that I'd chatted to him and his dad about a month back about getting into reloading.

Turns out they'd bought themselves a Lee starter kit shortly thereafter and had made about 100 rounds of .357 Mag to squeeze through their Ruger and wanted me to be present when they lit the fuse on their first shot.

I feel kinda like a proud pappa remembering those delighted (and relieved) faces - hehe

How far back did you stand?

Best Shot has a co-op order started for July, if you need any supplies. I was very pleased with the powder & primer prices the last go around.

Reloading has been put on the back burner as well as pistol matches. Just bought a new house and have to re do the budget to see where we're at. I also seem to have less time to do anything these days. Trials and tribulations of being a homeowner over a renter I guess.

I really don't have the energy to do it. Plus I know this Saturday is IDPA and I'll be damned if I can locate my vest. Having moved and all.

Just go and borrow one! I'm sure someone will let you use their's for your stages. That is if they enforce concealment. A lot of matches in the summer relax the need for a vest due to the high temps. I say go and don't miss the opportunity to shoot!

I'll be damned if I can locate my vest..

An untucked shirt with an undershirt is comfortable and legal concealment as long as you can hold your arms out at shoulder level and your gun is still concealed.
