Why can't he "reserve the right to refuse service to anyone"?
Well, I could be wrong, but wouldn't the refusal of service be based on religion or race? Isn't that discrimination? Aren't those two of the things that it is against the law to discriminate for?

I mean, one could be denied service for not wearing shoes or a shirt. However, denying someone because of their religion, gender, race, etc. will get one in trouble. I don't entirely agree with this law because it is being abused in the courts even now. I heard today that there are some Muslin students suing the Christian University they attend for having too many Christian symbols and it interferes with their prayers to Allah or Mohammed, I forget which. And there is another case where an atheist, I think, sued a Catholic Group for not allowing him to run for President of their organization. As ridiculous as these seem, the courts allowed them to proceed.

Maybe he just wouldn't like what they are wearing at the time.. :smilelol5:

Don't think he has to have a reason to refuse service.

And I agree. It is like being able to fire someone for nothing here in Texas. However, if it is determined the reason someone was fired was due to one of the protected classes, that employer will have some trouble. If this instructor does not give a reason for refusing service, but enough people are refused service and they are all Muslim, then he might still have a problem. If there are others that are refuse service, so that it is not clear, then he might be okay.

Range Qualifications during the times they get on their blankets ... "You have ___ seconds ..."

But he excluded anyone who voted for Obama .... not sure that's protected race, religion, national origin, etc.

Still, it was a joke which got his ad much more airplay, a radio talk show elsewhere picked it up and there's repeat postings on youtube now. and .... well, it was a "successful ad" as far as it spread

:iagree:

The voting issue wasn't discrimination...he plainly stated they would be disqualified on basis of lack of mental capacity demonstrated by inability to make rational and prudent choices... "rlol"

While talking with a friend at work about this yesterday, I thought the same thing about the choice of targets.

I do think the advertisement is really funny. I hope he doesn't get in any trouble for discrimination and unless someone tells him who they voted for, how would he know?

I guess I fit into the minority here, I think that this ad was pretty rascist and discriminating. Don't get me wront-the guy is entitled to his opinion, but I think that this is absolutely a step back for society.

I admit, I chuckled... the same way I chuckle at some of those uncolorful jokes, etc. Fact of the matter is, if your racist against Muslims/Arabs/Etc, your in the same boat that America was arguing against when MLK was around and black folks were the oppressed.

I fought the muslims/Arabs. Maybe it's true that SOME extreme factions are extremely anti-christian or anti-west, but that doesn't give us as Americans the RIGHT TO HATE. Think about it in this context: Some of you have mentioned that you dont like these muslims or arabs beause they are rascist (want to kill us, ect). Tell me, what sets you apart from them? Plese dont tell me that you are on Gods side, and that seperates the two of you. In a perfect christian world that may fly, but you are living in America, and here in America we have moved past stereotypes, racism, and hatred. You want to know why some of these extreme factions even exist? Education over there is a joke! Most of these extremist can't even read, they literally memorize the Koran because they can not read it. It doesn't take a genius to figure out how easy it is to control, corrupt, and brainwash a mass of uneducated, poor people.

I mentioned above that I have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. I have seen the evil that comes from some of this. But I think it is rediculous to make a blanket statement that ALL MUSLIMS & ARABS are evil. I'm here to tell you I happily and willingly disposed of as many of the evil, hateful, agressive ones that I came across. But I can't say that without balancing it with the fact that some of the nicest, most hositable people I have met and worked with were Muslim as well as of Arab descent.

Bottom line-Stop the racism. It's long overdue that you let go of that part of our past. Embrace the fact that ALL MEN WERE CREATED EQUAL.

...when I was a lad, folks came to America from all over a miserable world...because they saw a chance to better themselves and give their children a future that their country of birth didn't offer...when they got here, they did all they could to fit in, learn our language and our ways, and BUILD AMERICA STRONG, contributing all of their talents and effort to show their loyalty to Lady Liberty...
...now, many come here to suck off the plenty like a tick on a dog...some even send part of it back to their home countries, weakening our economy and even supporting our enemies...some bring their customs here and demand that we change our ways to accommodate them, and live isolated to themselves, trying to create in America a copy of the dark little hole they left behind...no support for America's future...no patriot's love for Her...often using our hospitality to hide behind and their new-found freedoms to plan and prepare to do us great harm...working to overcome us by population and make this country their own...
...their "religion" is a plan for deception and hate...calling those not like them infidels and dogs, not valueing lives of those who don't share their beliefs...their clerics teach hate, teach them to lie and deceive us to take advantage of us, and that that's OK...and declare a "holy war" against the "Great Satan" that offers them such fine hospitality...their written beliefs are to convert us or subjugate us and make us pay to live or kill us...

...these aren't the poor downtrodden as were the blacks before the Civil Rights movement got it stopped...they are not being mistreated or abused...there is no validity in that "example"...

...these are our sworn enemies...living amongst us and benefitting from our wonderful freedoms...and working against us all the time...to realize this, to study how they've done it overseas for centuries and are doing it today in many countries...and to realize those who do these things are our enemy, is not bigotry or hatred...it is wisdom and common sense...and a protective love for our own country...

...I respect your right to have an opinion contrary to all of this...but don't call me a racist, bigot, or hater because mine's very different from yours...and I won't call you a blind idiot because you don't see what I see...I don't mistreat any person...until they threaten me or mine...history, past, that in the making, and future, will surely validate one set of the opinions...and disprove the other...but for now, learn to express your views without calling others who hold different ones names...
