I have a set of plastic AR stocks that look like high-polished walnut.
While I had them on a rifle I got quite a few compliments on it - from people with conservative tastes.
Still got 'em if anyone's interested.

I helped do this several years ago for the NSSF auction with Todd Johnson. All done by hand except the stock blank. http://www.nssf.org/SHOT/MSRauction.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We had a much better idea for the handguard, tunneling a piece of walnut instead of the split halves RRA insisted on. I wanted to copy it for myself but the wood alone was $600.
