Went to the Ft Worth Gun Show last sunday. I got there around noon and it wasn't that busy. It was a little expensive with $8 ticket and $8 parking. I will probably stick with the Dallas Show from now on.

I like gun shows for a couple of reasons. Mainly there is a huge assortment of guns in one place. And you can pick up and handle any gun on the table (without asking a sales guy AND without a trigger lock). This is a great way to see what fits in you hand and what doesn't. Like others have said, the prices are not always the best.

Definitely take a smart phone with you and double check the prices.
Also, make notes about the vendors that have a good price, so that you can go back later.

I was specifically looking for a Ruger SR22, and there were several people that had them for ~$350. Then I found a guy selling it for ~$320. I took a picture of his sign and made a note of were he was. Then I found another guy selling a threaded barrel version for ~$350 (instead of the $400 I had seen elsewhere)

Neither of these prices beat the deal I had found online, even after shipping and ffl fees, so I went home and ordered the gun online. It should be here by friday. But, now I know I got a good deal online that I couldn't source locally.

Another nice thing about gun shows is the amount of accessories offered. You can usually find things that are typically only offered online. And most of the time the accessories are fairly priced, so you can pick up magazines and holsters that you know will fit (because you tried it) for a decent price.

I love the Dallas show. Best one of the bunch in N. TX.

Honestly my first response when I read the title was ...."Nothing" I have only been to 2 gun shows and both times I was just not impressed, to many people.
