Apparently legislation passed today in Illinois enacting concealed carry. I guess Illinois was the final hold out state...
They got tired of waiting on Quinn:
"Both chambers of the Legislature voted to override changes Gov. Pat Quinn made to the bill they approved more than a month ago."

Apparently they were under federal court pressure...

It'll be interesting to see if anything shakes out in terms of reciprocity... I've got to travel through there in about 20 days and I'm planning on having to put everything under lock and key within the trunk, unloaded..

Both houses of the General Assembly voted to override changes Gov. Pat Quinn made to the bill they approved more than a month ago. Some lawmakers expressed fear that failure to pass something would mean virtually unregulated weapons in Chicago, which has endured severe gun violence in recent months.
Oh really - unregulated weapons in Chicago? So exactly how would you then describe Chicago where it is virtually impossible to legally own a firearm and yet they are a national homicide leader. :headscratch

These idiots keep ignoring the root causes of violence.

Disagree.

Most criminals and violent felons are dumbocrats. This is why dumbocrats want to reinstate their voting privilege. Fact.

My guess is that most criminals and felons have marginal educational backgrounds and are from lower socioeconomic classes. And the democratic party is typically the party of the working class.
I think your continued sensationalized posts like this do nothing but polarize and don't really help resolve any real issue. This one is factual. I could say most ignorant White Supremacists vote Republican. Is either thing really a basic fault within the party?

But they never answer the one follow up question: If buying guns in Indiana is the root of the problem, why isn't Indiana's homocide problem bigger than Chicago's problem?

Because, it is easier to blame someone else than fix the problem.
