That is what I meant.. Thanks for catching it!
Re: Assistant Harris County (Houston) Attorney arrested
Wow, she really acted as a great witness and totally LIED or had a fantasy experience while drawing her weapon.
Seriously, I can't see how she could ever represent that eye witness testimony was solid truth, after her own confession to 9-11 being so totally opposite of reality. She's lost her credibility.

If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

I predict that she will cop a plea to a misdemeanor, surrender her CHL, get sentenced to probation and anger management counseling and keep her bar card.

Re: Assistant Harris County (Houston) Attorney arrested
If she pulled a gun on a person as described, she has actually committed aggravated assault. That is a pretty far distance from a misdemeanor. You may be right, but if she is going to plea guilty, it seems like they would have to really step down to get a misdemeanor. There is a real possibility of her being disbarred.WildBill wrote:I predict that she will cop a plea to a misdemeanor, surrender her CHL, get sentenced to probation and anger management counseling and keep her bar card.
Here is a recent incident that is almost the same thing she did only this one was over a parking spot.

The DA has a lot of discretion. For example, she could be offered a guilty plea for Disorderly Conduct.03Lightningrocks wrote:If she pulled a gun on a person as described, she has actually committed aggravated assault. LOL... I bet I wouldn't get that deal but with her connections, I would not be surprised if she does. One point of making the post I did is so folks reading this understand how serious of an offense we could be charged with if we pull our gun and it is determined we were not right to do so. Even if we don't pull the trigger. Dallas is pretty hard on this stuff. They have a pretty serious hard case against gun owners. It is as if they want to make an "example" of how bad it can be, out of every situation.WildBill wrote:The DA has a lot of discretion. I am not making light of her alleged actions and the seriousness of the charges. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes.03Lightningrocks wrote:LOL... It happened in Tomball; Rob Hauck is the Tomball Chief of Police.

Here is some more information:TxRVer wrote:Does that mean it took her two years to pass the bar exam?WildBill wrote:She graduated law school December 2003 and was admitted to the bar in May 2005.JALLEN wrote:I wonder how long she has been a lawyer?
For some reason I assumed she was younger.Susan Sciacca, 55, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. According to the Tomball, Texas, police, she said she became angry after a vehicle cut her off as she drove along a suburban Houston highway last Friday afternoon. She then followed the vehicle into a local credit union parking lot and pulled up alongside the car, police told ABC News.

The scenario and plea is standard practice in the courts for most arrests. The public would be shocked if they really saw how easy people get off. The courts couldnt handle if everybody went to trial, nor would jurors.03Lightningrocks wrote:LOL... I bet I wouldn't get that deal but with her connections, I would not be surprised if she does. I had a [former] co-worker who got arrested on two separate occasions, both felonies. The first for theft of copper, the second for domestic assault [impeding breathing] on his pregnant wife. He just got out of jail yesterday. Total time served was 3 months.texanjoker wrote:The scenario and plea is standard practice in the courts for most arrests. This gets better:
My wager: No jail time, keeps her license to practice law, just starts working for the other side of the courtroom.
Yea, you might want to look at the evidence first... Just sayin'.“We expect her to be exonerated,” said Cogdelle (her attorney). While Cogdelle said he had subpoenaed the surveillance footage of the incident, he had not yet had a chance to review it.

That would be a twist.cb1000rider wrote:My wager: No jail time, keeps her license to practice law, just starts working for the other side of the courtroom.
She worked for CPS many years prior to becoming an attorney and working in the DA's office.
