A few thoughts. First, the father made quite a few shekels promoting and glorifying violence in
The Hunger Games. This is another mass murderer who doesn't fit the whole "Tea Party domestic terrorist" meme. Instead, he was a total lefty, active in The Young Turks. Half the people he killed were with knives, and another third of the victims were hit with his car, so find a way to blame the NRA.
"Be proud America! The NRA has made us the laughing stock of the world. If you are a member, keep sending them blood money so more innocent people die."

"I'm sure the dead in Santa Barbara are glad they weren't stabbed to death, though. Make sure you catch the last flight to Mogadishu. That smell is the rotting flesh of your outdated ideas about guns. The backlash against your (and the NRA's) way of thinking will be far more severe than the reasonable gun control that has been proposed recently in Congress. Just wait. Before this decade ends we will witness a gun-related tragedy in this country that will put all others to shame. It's only a matter of time. Better stock up on ammunition."
"If you could reduce the number of cancer deaths among children through legislation, would you? I would. Guns kill twice as many children as cancer.

"Sadly for the NRA, we are in the Information Age, and the truth is starting to regularly get past their efforts to thwart it. But sadly for the rest of us—and at this moment, most tragically, the victims at Santa Barbara—the NRA have been so successful at bullying, threatening and obfuscating for so long, that we likely have too many more UC Santa Barbaras to come."
"...because God knows that NRA talking points are Gospel. Chuck Heston: Lawgiver. Well he's dead and so is that kind of thinking."

This is the agenda of the other side. Three people were killed in spectacular fashion with a gun. So new laws must be written. By the way did anyone notice 81 Americans died in Mexico last year.
