These Christian men and boys were rounded up and butchered for no purpose except to anger us and they succeeded with me . Our leaders are hardly even acknowledging it happened .

Our administration or our media? The media didn't make a stink about it until parts of the media started pointing fingers at main-stream media.
Respectfully, our "administration" should be religious preference free. If there were Americans, I'd understand the US government getting involved. I don't want the US to start reacting over religious preferences - that's going to go badly.

I've never really understood killing in the name of religion. It's not unique to ISIS. I guess it's just a function that works on weak-minded people that believe enough well-spun rhetoric.

ISIS is making major mistakes here. America is already "at war" with ISIS. Actions like this simply galvanize the rest of the world.

chuck j wrote:The murder of Christians anywhere troubles me . We as Christians in this country are safe , in the Mideastern country's they face many more trials including being murdered every day . I admire them , they gather in tiny community's and just try to survive knowing that even their children will suffer their same fate . We don't know the persecution they live every day , would we have the same strength of faith ?

We as American Christians are safe FOR NOW, but there will come a time when ALL Christians WILL be persecuted......Everybody blaming Obama, he is just a puppet....Its coming WAKE UP!

When will that be? When we're a global minority? I can see that coming, but I'm not sure that I see a turn-over in global power in the next couple of generations.
Realistically, most of the major main stream religions get along just fine when you look at the larger scale. It's when extreme governments take over or when religious extremists start picking and choosing verbiage from texts that we've got trouble. Don't let those people represent a religion - we're smarter than that.

Every single religion in the world has been persecuted at one time or another... What's wrong with human beings?

I'm curious who Obama is a puppet for? He's the commander-in-chief of the most powerful nation on earth. Who exactly is pulling his strings?

If any individual or group of people comes into this country legally and will not obey the law of the land , if they do not want to be an American then they should be removed .

I wonder why no one is talking about the huge blunder US/Nato did to depose Kadafee when he was all time telling the truth" Nato forces was fighting on the behalf and for the terrorists". Why in the world there is no Congress commission to find out why has this happened?

I totally lost interest in the story as soon as I read this:
"The Vatican — the de facto seat of worldwide Christianity — is in Rome, so the city could be a target."
Someone in Rome considers themselves to be a lot more relevant than the rest of the world does.

What I find strange is the Whitehouse hasn't even used the word Christianmtowards these twenty one who lost their lives. Yet the three Muslims killed for a parking spot by an atheist who hates all religion according to the POTUS is going to be investigated as a hate crime.

There is a reason for this. The current POTUS is a closet muslim and muslims are not allowed to criticize other muslims as evidenced by the total absence of any denunciation/outrage of/at the barbarism of the so-called radical muslims by the so-called moderate muslims.

Obviously, they never asked the leadership of the Southern Baptist Convention.......

According to this Wiki page (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ ... of_members), there are approximately 1.2 billion "Catholics", of which Roman Catholicism numbers 1.149 billion. But roman catholicism is not the only kind of catholicism.

There are also approximately 800 million protestants of varying denominations. That may not be as many as there are Catholics, that that is still a HUGE number of Christians who do not acknowledge the church in Rome as their spiritual center. USA today is simply stupid, and I would not take their word on anything spiritual, let alone their presumption to know what the church is all about.

I agree with everything you said but a strike on the Vatican would be a major physiological victory for them not to mention political , taking out the seat of the largest Christian denomination on the planet would be quite a feather in their cap .

Yes Rome is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church.

There are actually 24 existing Catholic Churches globally in various rites. The Egyptian Coptic church is one of the 24. The Latin rite is one of the 24. The 23 non-Latin rite churches are all in Union woth Rome.

If the Vatican is destroyed the Church will still prosper. Jesus taught us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. The Catholic Church will still go on. The Pope is the Bishop of the diocese of Rome. All other Catholic dioceses have an autonomous bishop. All other bishops recognize the Bishop of Rome as the ultimate authority over the Catholic Church in matters of faith and morals.

We Catholics consider our Protestant brothers and sisters as fellow Christians. An attack on Rome by radical Islam would be an attack on all Christians. If anyone thinks they will stop with Catholics and leave Lutherans or Baptists or anyone professing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior alone are sadly mistaken.

Anyone professing their faith in Christ as their heads are cut off are martyrs for Christ and their Sunday worship location of choice makes no difference.
