I "guess" the license is happening when you get the e-mail confirmation and the rest of the process is waiting for the physical license to come in the mail? Not sure, but is it plausible. I would not assume this as you have to have the physical license to carry a gun. FYI.
Less than 2 weeks right now sure sounds like something isn't right

Think you might have gotten some wires crossed on what happened. The FFL has no way of knowing if there's a LTC associated with the driver's license. If there is no LTC in hand to present to the FFL, then a background check must be done.

Now, if the FFL is doing things electronically, it may have appeared--to him--that such a check wasn't done. We do it via computer, and if the FBI is on the ball, the entire process takes no more than 90 seconds.

It was more of a subjective assertion. The application was submitted and came back without the need for the background check.

I'm confused on these last several post. How can the FFL possibly know without a actual plastic LTC in hand like
OP "Scott B" said? There has to be some miscommunication somewhere?.?. I could possibly see if the father n law actually has been thru the process & it's been around 30 day mark but 2 weeks.. :confused5 :waiting:
