For me, the plastic didn't become anything close to fantastic until I swapped out the sights on mine. Friend of mine kept trying to get me to shoot his years back and I just was not able to shoot any of his well. When I wanted to get a 10mm, Glocks seemed to be where it was at so I took a chance and swapped out the sights to a set of XS sights and that made all the difference in the world :)

Pretty much has retired my Colt to occasional range duty and BBQ status. Granted, the Glock has also been replaced in the carry lineup by my little Walther PPS and a CZ P-01
