Did you see or hear that that was the amount being sought? I haven't heard that in any of the links listed on this page, but I would be surprised if the amount sued for wasn't higher than that.
No, that was simply a hypothetical sum for illustration purposes. My guess is that the family would be happy with some type of confidential out-of-court settlement and that happens on occasion.

I just do not see a jury being sympathetic with the victim in this case given the facts as I understand them. I could be wrong. Let's see how it plays out.
