Finally got the card in the mail today. Sunday the website had my status changed to "liscense mailed" and I was checking the mail every day. Now I need to find a holster for my new M&P.....

Do you think Rene is the only one there who responds to e-mails? He's the only one I've heard of anyone getting an e-mail from.

It doesn't quite work that way. It has more to do with when DPS received your packet. If you have anything missing or incomplete, this will delay things. The FBI was doing background checks for the census workers that caused some delays, but that is finished now. You don't even need a pin anymore, just your DL#, SS#, and your birthdate. If your status isn't showing that the "background check: under review" yet, you will probably still have a longer wait. Don't mean to bust your bubble, but I am a bit over a week ahead of you and I just hit background complete yesterday.

And welcome to the waiting room. :clapping:

He is the only name I have seen mentioned and the only one that has ever answered back to me. His responses used to be short and he didn't always answer questions as they were asked. The last one I got from him was very cordial and i noticed that he answered someone else in a good way also.

Just checked, and woo hooo! Movement!

Wife's packet hand-delivered to DPS 4/12/10
Wife's Check cashed 4/13/10
Wife's PIN received 4/28/10 (Letter dated 4/26)
Wife's license: to be printed pending application review 5/14/10

Two and a half weeks since her PIN was issued. And that's with the FBI hold in the middle of it! We were dreaming of timeframes like this last year! One year ago today my license was completed, though I didn't receive it until 5/16.
