When I went to check the mail today, there was a letter from DPS. Wow, I thought it must be my plastic. But when I felt the letter, there was no plastic to be felt. My next thought was, oh no, something is wrong, maybe even a rejection. I opened it as fast as I could, and much to my relief, it was a letter about how my DL and SSN may have been compromised during the two days their site was unsecure.

Same thing happened to me today. I thought I was getting my plastic before the site was updated. Nope, couldn't get that lucky.

I went to mailbox yesterday and got TWO letters. The first letter informed me that Texas has moved to a new site and that I can check the status of my registration on that page. The second letter was that texas might have comprised my personal information during their website implementation.

Well, I continue to wait. No changes to the status found on the website.

My license Status has been stuck on "Fee : Received" for the past week and a half!!!!
Is it just me? Is anybody else experiencing this? AYAYAY!!!!!

Two and a half weeks since her PIN was issued. And that's with the FBI hold in the middle of it! We were dreaming of timeframes like this last year! One year ago today my license was completed, though I didn't receive it until 5/16.

Is she anywhere nearly as excited as you are ?

I'll pass on the congrats, and yes she is (just about) as excited as me. When she saw the status, she turned and gave me "that grin". You know the one. It means I've got to buy yet another gun, because now she's gonna want a second to have "choices" when it comes to carrying.

Mrs. UpTheIron's status was like that for 2 1/2 weeks, until it changed yesterday. Don't worry - it won't be stuck that way for much longer. As an "older-timer" mine was stuck that way for 2 months a year ago! And tomorrow is my 1st anniversary of being a State Certified "Good-Guy" (tm).

You made a typo. I'm sure you meant.."I get to buy yet another gun"

Awesome, things are really moving along now! Just checked without any expectation of any changes and now my fingerprints and background check are under way. Whoo hoo, I can smell the plastic already!

What the heck! Tuesday was the first time I could log in and it said incomplete applicaiton notice sent to applicant. Well I still have not gotten anything in the mail so I can fix it and get it back.

On a positive note my crossbreed super tuck came in today and it the bomb. It is really comfortable and so easy to use compared to the Desantis Tuck This that I have been wearing around the house.

Oh well more waiting what are you supposed to do but vent on here alitlle to pass time.

I am also still waiting and hoping each day to find updates on the website. I know what you mean about new holsters, I have been wearing by m-tac all day (came in this morning) so excited.
