Reading this thread and reading some of the stuff you married fellers go through to buy a new gun could make the thread title, "Best reasons or excuses to stay single". :biggrinjester:

The only one that ever worked for me. I used it when I bought my AR a few months back. "November presidential election."

Sorry, it's not funny.

This $500.00 pistol will be worth $600.00 next year.

That $500.00 purse will be worth $25 at your next garage sale.

Well, I tried a couple of the posted reasons last night.

I showed my wife the Kimber Ultra CDP 2 on their website. Told her about the carry bevel treatment. Flagged her the custom shop upgrades that added "during the manufacturing process reduces their retail cost by over $500, giving CDP pistols their incredible value."

I told her that it's a 45ACP like the one I have, but much smaller and easier to conceal carry (see previous post this thread).

She was very attentive. Then she said "It is a very good looking gun", and left the room. :grumble

1) You can never have enough guns
2) I've never sold a gun for less than I paid for it
3) You can never have enough guns
4) Obama might just get in (buy before the ban)
5) As good as money in the bank
6) This gun is for you dear....
7) If its available - I ought to have it
8) I don't have one that color yet
9) I need one for every room
10) When I drink I see double so I need two guns, one for each bad guy standing in front of me :cheers2:

Yep worked for me as well. I used "Buy it now before the price increase in November."

This doesn't always mean "no".

She may have gone to make a note about what to get for your next birthday/anniversary present. But, then, I have a very unusual wife -- that's the way her mind works.

Regretfully we just past both my birthday/anniversary (June 5th). I hate to think it'll be another year. Aargh!

I really can't complain about not putting out that amount of cash right now as we just put in a new A/C, replaced our entry deck, replaced shower doors among many other things. Trouble is, none of those things goes bang! :fire

I love my wife!
