Re: Help with carry weapon
wow sounds awesome i live right by the bass pro shop and every time i go therer i have a bad experience, but like i said before my brother has a sr9c and its amazing, and i myself have had an m&p9c, which was also very nice but im still leaning towards the sr9c due to the fact tahts its more affordable, thinner, and lighter, and i like the way it fits for a subcompact. just my 2 cents....again, well good luck picking out a gun!

Best of luck in your quest. I thought that the Ruger SR9c looked pretty nice. You may have already eliminated all other options, but I was just curious if you had considered the Glock 26/27 or the Beretta Px4 Storm.

Thanks for the tips. Yeah, I've looked at both.InfoTechCHL2007 wrote:Best of luck in your quest. I thought that the Ruger SR9c looked pretty nice. You may have already eliminated all other options, but I was just curious if you had considered the Glock 26/27 or the Beretta Px4 Storm.
The Beretta just feels too wide. My buddy has the full size, so I have fired it too. The trigger pull is really nice with a short reset. I have big hands, so you would think I would like a thick grip - but I guess having grown up with single stacks like the 1911, I seem to prefer a thinner grip.
I have only fired one Glock (I think it was a 22) recently and I did like it. But, I'm OK with dual opposing passive safety's (trigger and grip) on a non double-action pistol (i.e. Springfield XD). I'm guess I'm just not ready for a single passive safety like the Glock. If it was DA/SA like a Sig's, the it would be cool - but on a striker fired SA (or partial SA) like the Glock - the trigger pull is just too light for me to be comfortable with that. Maybe that will change over time.
So even on the M&P, I would get the model with the manual safety.

Check out the Sig SP2022, it right on the edge of your weight range, and is now available at academy for $400

The SIG will be a much higher quality gun than any other on the list (with the possible exception of the XD).

That is a great gun - I liked it a lot. It's not really very compact though - about the same size as the SR9. But I like the DA/SA with decocker. It feels good in the hand. I haven't shot it, but the trigger pulls were right where I want them.Zoomie wrote:Check out the Sig SP2022, it right on the edge of your weight range, and is now available at academy for $400
