Which ones? the Hogues or the pachmeyers?

Both, although most talk is about the Hogues. I want to try both though.

I have a thing for the rubber Pachmeyer grips (with no finger grooves).

I prev had an MC Operator, and I loved these grips. I got a set for my Ed Brown... I know - $20 grips on a $2k pistol - but after trying several brands and types, I prefer these....

I used the Pachmayrs on several guns over the years and liked them also. They're thinner than the Hogues and the material is a bit less "sticky" and compressible.

I can be happy with either model, although lately I've been favoring the Hogues.

I have a set of Pachmayr grips (with the finger grooves, I prefer them) on my Hi-Power. In fact, that's how the FM Hi-Power FM-90 (Mk II) ones came - an unbranded Pachmayr wraparound with finger grooves. The originals can be seen in the image below, though the original set finally gave up the ghost and I replaced them with Pachmayr-branded ones instead. They look exactly the same, with the exception of the little bronze badge.



I've shot fenster's RIA Tactical with a set of them installed, and it was a very enjoyable shooter.

Personally, I find the Hogue grips a little too rubbery and squishy. I prefer to have a clamped grip on my pistol.

Theer are a few variants of those Pachmeyer grips - some have finger grooves, and some also have just a partial finger groove at the very bottom.
