Went back to range today and much better results with my Kimber, had to make myself come to terms with the Meprolight Tritium 3-dot night sights. The alignment of the dot on the front sight is deceiving, these are new to me :patriot: Now that I have came to my senses "rlol" when the top of the front sight is level across the top of my rear sight the front dot is fully exposed in my sight picture but looks low to me as far as alignment with the rear 2 dots, I think it is an optical elusion, I shot 91 rounds today with no issues very pleased with my new Kimber.

Cool!..I knew it had to be "operator error". :biggrinjester: J/K

Seriously though, I'm glad you went back for another try at it.
I'm sure the more you shoot it, the more comfortable you'll get.

Now you just have to put a few hundred more rounds through
it to get it broken in. ;-)

Yeah I'd go with that specific Springfield over that specific Kimber, however there are some Kimbers that I might choose over the Springfield.

But for what you've got listed, yes sir, the Springfield is the way to go.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I do thinks parts or mods are lower cost on Springfield but either are the Best of the Best.
