Wow, what I learn everyday here.
I had no idea who Ed Hardy was till today.
Kinda like Ralph Lauren for gangstas.

Now wait a minute here. I'm no old fart at 35, but I've had a bald spot growing for at least 6 - 7 years, and I noticed my hairline receding before I was a teenager. A bald spot does not mean middle-aged.
But I'm way too fat for skinny jeans and would neither pay for nor wear ed hardy stuff.

Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Re: How Bad can Mid-Life crisis be?
My mid-life crisis...hmmmm, guns, Apple computers, and my new 2011 Kia Soul. Pretty much it right there. I allowed myself to get into a discussion over people's right to protect themselves and their 2nd Amendment rights. In a Starbucks facebook forum of all places. There were a couple of guys who, evidently were liberals who believe the police can get there faster than an event can end. Hah, idiots. At the time I didn't own a gun, hadn't owned a gun in several years and hadn't really thought about owning one quite frankly. But, I did and do believe that folks should have the ability and the right to protect themselves and their family and friends as needed. After that I started researching about guns and CHL. Handguns, shotguns, rifles, holsters, prepping, paracord, 72 hour kits, re-loading, etc. Oh my God, will the research ever stop. It's amazing where this has led to. I have gone to a couple of BIG Gun Shows (Dallas and Houston) and have held many guns in my hands all the while wishing I had the money for one. I'm about to go fire the one I think I'll like the most. Springfield XD(m) .40 Compact. My first step will be to get my CHL and then get the gun.
Got my 2011 Kia Soul at the beginning of Feb. I.Love.That.Car. It's that simple. I got a monthly pass at my local car wash. I want to get aftermarket products for it. I want to spruce it up. And then I want to enter into some of the little local car shows and win them with it. The car drives great, gets awesome gas mileage, has plenty of headroom and legroom for a big tall guy like me. Awesome car. Central Kia of Plano. Talk to Norm and tell him Rick sent you. (really should talk to them about getting a headhunter fee)
For the past couple of years, I have loved Macs. I finally broke down and bought a MacBook Pro a few years ago. Now, I want the current version of the MacBook Pro cause it IS AWESOME. When the new iPhone and the next gen iPad come out in the next month or two or three I want them too because they will BE AWESOME.
So, as you can see, my mid-life crisis is going to be an expensive one. My wife and my kids don't understand the gun thing. Well, a couple of the girls wish they could shoot guns too. My wife wishes that part will go away. She doesn't want me to be a gun nut. I have tried to tell her. It isn't going to stop with just one gun. A handgun for the summer and a different one for the winter. A shotgun. An assault rifle (M-4 type or AK type). A few .22's (rifle and handguns). Pocket revolvers. And, I have to accessorize as well. Holsters, mag pouches, gunbelts, tactical folding knives, etc. Oh, and the re-loading equipment. Wow, that stuff is expensive at first.
If any of you rich guys don't have kids and you wanna help someone get their start in this, feel free to leave me a gun or two. Or maybe I could start a "Please Help Wysiwyg101 Get His CHL AND His First Handgun AND Holster" paypal account to see if anyone wants to give me a few bucks here and there. It could add up. Smiles everyone.
BTW, who is Ed Hardy?

I decided that when I turned 40 I should "invent a mid-life crisis." LOL....so I did, went out and bought a new sportscar.

He was the protege of Sailor Jerry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailor_Jerry_Collins" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I knew about Sailor Jerry from the rum of the same name. Didn't know the connection until today.jmra wrote:To those who, like myself, had no idea who this guy is:

In 2004, Christian Audigier licensed the rights to produce the Ed Hardy clothing line, which is based on Hardy's imagery.
There's more in the link if anyone really cares - I don't.

skinny jeans refers to the legs, not the waist
