Chase had no problem accepting my CHL as valid ID. It must be on a branch by branch issue.

we just flew to new york and my girlfriend used her chl at the security check point with no problem. seems its case by case every where depending on the knowledge of the person checking ids.

the more important question though, who do i give my banking business to now?!

I got fed up with BoA when I went to get a certified check one day several years ago.
They wanted to charge me $7 for the check, but had banners pasted all over the bank advertising "Free Transfers to Mexico"
I demanded to see a manager, to complain and to shut me up, he waived the fee.
After I had the check in my hand, I asked to see the manager again, and had him cancel my account right then and there.

I have used Frost bank ever since. I believe they are a Texas-Born bank.

They sure are alot friendlier than the BoA folks.

We ditched BOA a LOOOONG time ago when they put 7 day holds on our paychecks without telling us and caused about 1K of bounced check fees....a nice tidy sum for them. We paid about half of that eventually....... :grumble

BofA's statement is in direct contradiction to the below video (Cam Edwards radio interview) from Kelly McMillan.
Jump to 2:20 if you're impatient.

At 3:45 Cam reads the denial in the above referenced link and Mr. McMillan responds to the denial.

You can choose whom to believe.
