I was never a BofA fan. Had an account with them for about 2-3 weeks once.

Chase? Since when and what are they doing? I've banked with Chase for years. Never a 30.06, not even a gun buster sign. I know several of their bankers who carry, even when working; My business banker being one of them (he's a 1911 nut like me )

I'd be interested in the answer to this too. We've been with Chase for going on 10 years, and I haven't seen or heard anything to date that tells me they aren't 2A friendly.

I've never seen a 30.06 at any Chase branch. I've visited many in/around the DFW area.

I would tend to take this with a grain of salt until there is more information or evidence. Over the past 4 years many business owner's have lost their line of credit just so the bank could reduce there risk of exposure to bad debt.

Chase refused to accept my CHL as a valid form of ID. I was a long time account holder, was trying to get a cashier's check cut for $6k. Escalated it up to the branch manager. They gave me all the usual runaround excuses, then finally said 'it's our policy'.

They were happy to take a VISA card as an alternate ID.

I moved all my accounts over to Wells Fargo the next week. They were happy to accept my CHL.

The sheer, utter irony of this is the "ginormous" amount of firepower they (or any bank) has at its cash vaults...you know, the kind where they drive pallets of $$,$$$,$$$ around with forklifts, shotguns on the wall, all employees open carrying, etc...got a buddy who works on cash count machines at these non-descript locations...he always gets followed around by an armed escort. The other day I was giving him a hard time because he never carries cash...he said "in my business it's highly discouraged...if you have no cash on you/in your wallet, you have an easier time should you get accused of fingering some money."

I just opened a Chase account yesterday. My new banker has his CHL.

...ironic, but I've never been asked for a second form of ID to OPEN an account...nor while I have an account there...only (and not always) when I go where I don't have an account to cash one of their customer's checks...banks are often arbitrary...

As an FFL, I've had a business account at Chase with no problem, but I'm speaking of the larger-scale business loans in the firearms industry. Chase and BofA are known to say "No." It's tough to operate any retail business, where you have high-dollar inventory, operating completely on cash. The problem is that those banks are averse to "high risk" loans, so instead they give out mortgage loans to people completely unqualified to pay them back.

Yes, that last part was dripping with sarcasm.
