How about you LEO's offer a helpful suggestion to help protect the women from the predators with fake badges or the "bad apple" with a real badge. One person said to keep your window rolled up mostly....but I have been told by a LEO to roll my window down further when I kept it half up (music and car were off). A real LEO can order me out of the car for whatever reason he feels like. I dare not disobey.

So yall who are put off by anti-LEO talk (and I understand you do your best and the bad ones create havoc for you) what do you suggest for women, who now after several incidents of fake and at least one real officer are rightfully concerned, to protect themselves. Playing the odds is not a good answer. Saying oh it is so rare is not a good answer. I need a real answer.

Slow roll in the shoulder with hazards on to a well lit area and call 911 to let them know what you're doing and verify the stop.

Remember, there are bad apples in all professions, including doctors, teachers, preachers, etc. With today's media and Internet sources we hear about them all across the country and world, where not long ago you were lucky to hear about local incidents. This makes it seem like there are exponentially more than ever, when I doubt the numbers are really that many more than have always occurred.
:iagree: Hit the nail right on the head. I would bet there are far fewer now than there were 30, 50, or 100 years ago.

No idea about the numbers per capita. I've never heard of this happening much myself. Seems to me that any criminal thug kidnapping a woman, handcuffing her and assaulting her in the back seat would be a welcome post on a forum that discusses, debates and supports self-defense no matter who committed the outrageous crime. I think this forum teaches valuable lessons and if just one lady, as the result of this forum, refuses to get in the back seat of a criminals car, then this forum worked.

No "LEO bashing" intended. All criminals are equal in my view.

The difference being that none of those professions can pull me over or arrest me and jail me, or search my vehicle, or confiscate my property; and if they attack me I at least have the chance to fight back, and I won't automatically be presumed to be the guilty party.

Seriously.

Back in the day when this forum started (before my LEO days) it wasn't like this.
Seems like that should concern you. It means that perception is changing even among those most likely to support law enforcement. I've met three retired cops who said they were glad to be off the force because of the way the younger officers are trained and behave today. Fact is, perception is reality, and perception is not working in favor of law enforcement these days. And one of the worst perceptions created these days is that officer safety takes precedence over everything else, including public safety. The thing is, it doesn't even matter if it's true or not, because if the public believes it, it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Get back on the subject of this individual case and drop the generalizations. Last warning.

I don't understand how some of you have so much trouble with police. I have not had a cop treat me like crap since I was a smart mouth 16 year old. Let us all get real here. If you come off like some kind of punk to a cop, he will treat you like a punk. Quite frankly, he will treat you a heck of a lot better than I would. Sure, there may be a few bad apples out there. This is no reason to hop on a internet forum and trash talk cops as if bad cops are the norm. It actually ticks me off! I think it needs to stop. :smash:

Every time I see a new post to this thread I hope it is someone letting us know the guy has been caught.

I agree. I read on policeone about another one in another state. I love when I read articles where the fake cop pulls over the real off duty cop... it doesn't go well for the fake cop :smilelol5:

Nobody on this forum is against LEO's and this post is about Men handcuffing ladies and assaulting them in the back seat of vehicles. The most recent case 2 days ago being a SAPD LEO raping a 19 year old. All related. The intent is to inform our daughters, sisters, and moms to be careful.

I have no idea what you are upset about.

Cheers
