That's just silly. I'll stick with my CHL lime green cape. It helps me conceal anyhow.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

I don't think any LEO is going to care if you are wearing that or not. You will still be treated as a man with a gun until he gets all the facts.

Would not mind getting one and initiate new CHL holders and explain to them that it is required for their first Wally Walk....

Re: Would you get one of these CCW banners?
oh good grief.
This part cracked me up from the ad:
"The difference between no visible "good guy" identification and the immediate ID provided by the DSM Safety banner."
"When I first saw this at TREXPO I thought, This HAS to be better than no ID at all and is certainly more visible even than a badge wallet held up."
Yea like a bad guy cant buy one. Also defeats the purpose of CCW doesnt it? That is more ridiculous than a CHL badge. Why dont they just make a fanny pack with CONCEALED HANDGUN printed on it. Maybe thats next. Just stupid.

Though I cannot see buying or using one of these I believe that if I were an LEO and I saw someone wearing one of these bizarre accoutrements I would probably at least pause before I took a shot. They probably would serve their intended purpose.maximus2161 wrote:oh good grief.

True the banner could say any thing for that matter. I just think its a bad idea to display "CCW" on it. On a side note it kinda reminds me of the things they had when I was in elementary school for the school guard. I forget what that was called.
My point was just letting the world know you are carry a gun. I cant imagine any LEO thinking that is a good idea to see someone wearing a banner that says CCW. But who knows. For other things like security, police, EMT, etc sure why not. I can see the practical purpose of that.

Re: Would you get one of these CCW banners?
We were Safety Patrol Boys (and girls later). The program was sponsored by AAA and we were the early crossing guards for schools before they felt they needed adults for the job. I did 2 years (5th grade and 6th grade). We wore belts like these boys are wearing, except these guys were about 40 years before my time.
