A was no billed after doing X.

Therefore, if I do X, I too will be no billed.
That carries with it the implied assumption that you can count on being treated as was A. Not necessarily, as different prosecutors might exercise their discretion differently and subtle differences in facts can lead to different results. Try to stay well to the safe side of what's legal.

Nobody said or implied anything. I believe the OP was looking for a case and one was provided. It has happened, doesn't mean different area of the state outcome would be the same. I personally agree with the outcome.

What I get out of this thread is some will fight against crime perpetrated against themselves and others will do nothing, well, they might bloviate about the nuances of the law, I guess that's something...

He put in an alarm system, which notified him that the house was being burglarized during the day. He drove to the house, took out a Marlin lever action 444, and dropped the burglars on the porch coming out with stolen property. I think he only killed one but shot three of them. He was no-billed.

It happened, I think, in Mckinney, but I am unable to find it. If someone locates the story please post a link.
JusMe, I also recall that story. Unfortunately, I don't remember any more than you, except I didn't think it was in McKinney. I remembered it as being South of I30 for some reason
