"Statistics on alcohol-related deaths are bleak. Every year approximately 75,000 lives will be lost due to alcohol. Countless family and friends left behind will be greatly affected. No one is immune; a chronic alcoholic or an innocent bystander can become a victim. Each death is tragic and often avoidable. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), alcohol abuse is the third leading "preventable cause" of death in the United States."Trinitite wrote:People are individuals.
Some people can't handle alcohol and they get into trouble when they drink. Those people shouldn't carry when they drink and shouldn't drink when they carry.

Some people can drink responsibly. For those people it's not a problem to have one or two drinks, whether or not they're carrying.

Some people are vinophobes like chabouk says.
Every person that ever got behind the wheel drunk believed the same thing you believe. They believed they could handle alcohol and they believed they were drinking responsibly. Research proves that one drink can affect your abilities and judgement. But I am sure that through your own research you are confident that you are somehow immune.
