Is it vanity, or am I just gloating...

How that is possible to get the bullet travel backwards and hit the shooter in the head? How lucky was he? I guess he would be dead it that bullet had enough energy or did no hit the dirt first.

And I am going to buy another box of 150 next month...Where I was hitting 5-6" groups at 300 yards the first time I took it out...I sent 10 rounds today and whittled it down to 3-4" groupings at the same distance...With the new ammo...
I am begining to believe that it will be a combo of better optics with a tweeked handload which will get me the results I am trying to re-create from many years passed...I just got to get it all dialed in and see what happens...

About 20 years ago I was hit in the ribs by a bullet fragment from a .357 magnum I was firing - indoor range, shooting at 25 yards (backstop was probably 35 yards away, there was supposed to be some kind of special plastic sheeting that would prevent that, but it was in a poor state of repair). Anyway, pulled the trigger, and a split second later felt a very sharp pain just below the chest on the right side. Fortunately it was winter and I had on several layers and a leather jacket, so it didn't penetrate, but left a nasty bruise. We found the fragment on the floor, it was a piece of the bullet, smaller than a penny, but flatter (and far from perfectly round).Beiruty wrote:How that is possible to get the bullet travel backwards and hit the shooter in the head? The video mentions something about shooting at steel. If it were thick enough and the angle was right, I guess that would explain it.Beiruty wrote:How that is possible to get the bullet travel backwards and hit the shooter in the head? How lucky was he?
