It sounds like they left some details out of the story because something doesn't add up. Were there any independent third party witnesses? Where did the ATV tracks in the "open, bare area" lead the FBSO investigators?
This is a Glock 40. Fifty Cent. Too Short. All of them talk about a Glock 40. OK?
I'm the only one in this forum fool enough - that I know of - to shoot himself with a Glock 40.

There were two different stories written by different reporters that don't really sound the same. Without knowing more it's hard to say which is more acurate. The second story sounds more plausible to me and it had the incident happening on the roadside where the dog owner parked his truck. It doesn't say if the ATV was on the street or off road. Neither article mentioned witnesses.

I bet there never was an ATV rider. This guy probably hates ATV riders so much he shot his own dog and blamed ATV riders just to make them all look bad. :roll:

Really folks? What next? Space invaders came down? :coolgleamA:

More believable than "I was cleaning the gun and it went off" IMHO.

I wanted to post this in a new topic because of where this thread ended up but also didn't want to duplicate threads.

Here is the link to one news report with an update...

http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?secti ... id=9429633" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Un-explainable behavior...

As a dog owner, dog trainer, and dog lover, I just can't imagine this...

His lie could have very well got an ATV rider killed, injured, or drawn-on, and many aren't going to be aware of this development and continue to distrust ATV riders as result. It could be said that he libeled the ATV community as whole.

I wonder why did he feel the need to shoot the dog and then lie to begin with?

so true, as you can see even here I was kinda slammed about not believeing the official story, and having info that was not in public I said I didn't believe the guy was on the level and was politely told to shut it. I was way slammed on the KTRK site for disbelieving the story. I hope that no one suffered injury because of this fool, well his family did, I feel for them, the jerknoid, naw hope he gets everything they can put on him

to address your last he hates ATV Riders, his house butts up to the field( I am told) and he is sick of hearing the noise and the SO won't do anything to stop it, so he was gonna get the cops to do something no matter what

I see possible jail time and monetary penalties discussed in the article but I see no mention of a 'dance'. Anybody who would do something like this deserves the 'rope dance'.

I'm starting to think your :roll: in the OC threads has a similar relevance.

No, you didn't call it that way at all. I went back and read all of your posts and you never even hinted that the dog owner shot his own dog.
