Probably nothing. We can hope his system is overwhelmed with calls for HB910. :)

Chatter at press table: Since Patrick says the #txlege has a deal on #opencarry, will that mean more heel-dragging on taking an actual vote?
At this point I'm guessing two things:

1) HB910 will not be heard today.
2) There will be no Campus Carry amendment.

Email sent, I kept it polite and focused and also reminded them our "neighbors to the north" in Oklahoma already have this. Can't let them show us up, can we? :txflag:

No, it just means it can be heard today. Not will.

We don't know, it could. We have been told by the Lt's office it wouldn't...not today.
Then a deal apparently got finalized on other issues, it could. Then some speculate it will be next week.
Long way of saying....we just don't know!

Measures to Broaden Gun-Carry Rights on College Campuses Falter
A push to expand rights to carry guns on public-college campuses has largely fizzled.

Of the 15 “campus carry” bills introduced earlier this year, none has passed. Measures in 11 states have already effectively died, including in Florida, where gun-rights supporters had high hopes before two bills stalled before reaching floor votes.

And on Thursday, the Nevada senate defeated an 11th-hour move to tuck campus carry into a broader firearms measure, likely dooming the effort this year. Bills in at least two other states are expected to fail soon as well.

Attention is now focused on lawmakers in Texas, who could vote to expand campus carry soon, in the waning days of the legislative session. A win in Texas, which could come as early as next week, could help keep the effort alive and provide momentum heading into 2016.

Finally got through! A really nice lady answered and put me on hold and said there were 5 other people on hold as well. Eventually she got to me and I gave her a quick statement of support and for the bill to be brought up for a vote. :txflag:
