TN: 67 year old woman CHL approached by strange man in Walmart parking lot

Here's mine: I don't and would never approach a woman I don't know in a parking lot for a number of reasons, chiefly, I don't want her to be alarmed by me, a male stranger.

I certainly don't want any male begging stranger approaching my wife in a parking lot.

This kinda' goes to the woman in the parking lot of the Motel 6 at 11:00 at night several threads ago, doesn't it?

Currently, and as I have said I don't alway trust reporting but what else is there except making stuff up, the reports are that at 4:00 a man walked past the woman, stopped, then turned to her. She immediately turned and drew a gun on the man. He moved away and she lowered the gun. The man approached and said something to a bystander at which time the woman again pointed her gun at the man and continued to do so as he went into the store.

If that is true then he didn't really even approach her at all and her claims of telling him to stop don't match what was viewed on tape. Since there was no sound, AFAIK, you might speculate as to what was said initially but after the man backed off and the woman lowered the gun what could of happened to justify her pointing the gun at the man again? That is a separate and distinct act that must also be justified. Legally speaking I don't see how it can be.

Maybe she thought he was a danger to the other lady and her child. It's been argued many times on here the video doesn't show and tell all that went on. Why give the video so much credence in this situation?

What does the woman's age have to do with anything?

It might not mean any difference with getting arrested but it may with the grand jury. Most likely, they will give a 5'4", 100 pound 67 year old women a greater benefit of the doubt with use of force than they would with someone like me, a 6'1", 270 pound 26 year old male. There is a decent chance she would get no billed where as someone like me would not in this exact situation. Not saying that's what will happen, but the chances are not that bad.

Credence? About if he asked for a light I didn't, but that she didn't hold up her hand and tell him to stop. Yes you would be able to see that so why wouldn't I give give credence to the video if that is not what is on there. What the heck advocate all you want but there is that and then there is reasonable analysis. As to being a danger to the lady, really?

Wait a second a reasonable assessment is to much but repeat postings of far from likely scenarios of why what she did was OK is just fine? I'm not posting in a vacuum here. My posts are in response to other statements. Why not just put a limit on how many times one can post if it's not the party line. I'm not attacking or belittling anyone so why would anything I post be an issue? And for the record what I think is the information we currently have would have her at fault and it's even stronger that she would be a fault the second time she pointed her gun at the man. It's so clear cut, from what we have heard, that the only responses for the second half of the incident is that maybe she pointed her gun at the man, when standing with the woman and child bystanders, because she thought the woman and child were in danger. We know the woman bystander certainly didn't think that was true. If you were in that position with a kid what would you be thinking?

We know the woman bystander certainly didn't think that was true. If you were in that position with a kid what would you be thinking?

Counselor, Tell us what she was thinking and how you know what she was or was not thinking in that very moment she pulled her gun and aimed it at him. Also, explain how you know the lady with the child accurately interpreted the situation and is telling the truth.

Can you say for a fact she did not fear the other lady and child might he in danger?
