OK, Mod ruling; back on topic. I would like to eat lunch later and not lose my breakfast. ;-)

Crossfire, Jr went out to Elm Fork today. He says the Sporting Clays courses were both open, but really, really wet.

BTW, even if the Woods and Meadows courses are closed for high water, the Dove course is usually dry. The Dove course is only 50 rounds, and is easily walked, so no extra expense for the golf cart. Could be a possible alternate activity if rain continues to be a problem for our next scheduled day.

Is the Dove course new, or am I just dense? I don't remember ever seeing it?

It is not real new, but if you don't know it's there, you probably won't see it.

When you drive in to the shotgun range, the trap, skeet, and Woods sporting clays course are all on the right. The Dove course is on your left, by the pavillion. It is only 5 stands, 10 shots at each station.

Ok - time to bump this post. I still have this shoot on my calendar for the 25th Andy. Are you still planning to hold this event since you just got done freezing your fingers a couple of weeks ago? I've got a couple hundred shells collecting dust in the garage for stepson and I. Shall I dust them off or put them in the deep freeze? :thumbs2: :thumbs2:

Right now the NWS is calling for sunny & 63. The only question is how much the forecast will change.

Out on this one too... :grumble

At least instead of working, I get to go watch my son play baseball!

Are we still on for this? Time?

Or did we decide to go to TSRA at Mesquite instead?

I'm not sure if this shoot is confirmed or not. I see it should be 50 degrees and sunny at 10am - so that sounds reasonable.

If I don't read of confirmation by, say, early tonight, I'll probably make alternate plans for a long bike ride in the AM. I'd like to get this shoot in because who among us doesn't like the smell of gunpowder in the morning. However if it doesn't happen, I've got a bunch of alternatives to choose from. There will always be another day to shoot.

I can do 10:30am... Not sure who else I might bring yet. Schedules are still uncertain right now.
