[quote]We'll load the dogs in the truck, and take the cats in case the MRE's run out. I should be fine until I run out of Copenhagen, then I'm giving up.

I hear the cats are real tasty with season salt and bacon. Ummmm... bacon makes everything better.

Another item that can be had in various models and capacities...Out of the Cheaper than Dirt website...And after you buy one thing, they will keep you on the mailing list for the monthly catalog...

Best reading material around for those special, quiet, private reading sessions... ;-)

I would recommend having a filter system and the tablets just to be sure...

I understand that if you use a laser sight it makes hunting them easier. It seems
to attract them... you can get them to jump and shoot them like skeet! (Kat lovers, JK!!!)

I know, personally, if I break out the ol' laser gripped peeeestol (you know, to work on my trigger pull w/dry fire rounds  ) the cats act like it is their personal time of play, and they rejoice!
I've seen the one cat actually run up a wall a foot or two chasing that little red dot!!!
:rolll cracks me up!

I have to say most of you folks are very prepared. I was thinking along these lines some may have already posted if so please excuse me.
I realize food clothing and ways to protect our families and other are greatly needed but communication with a radio not just a radio that runs ac/dc but the type that you wine up( works from it own source) and have varable receiver bands .Various places in north america will be broadcasting on emergency frequency with as much information too everone ( those that will still be capable to transmit). I am of course looking at this emergency as something on the event ( 9/11 ) but through out america , heaven help us that this may never occur ,but a lifeline of communication may give us a better chance to survive.
PS: lots of retail stores carry this type of radio prices run $30 to $100,usually radio shack ,target.walmart and many others.
