I have a friend who is selling a DPMS Sweet 16. He has replaced the A2 stock with a 6 position collapsible one. The rifle has a Truglo 6-24x44mm Infinity series scope with a mil-dot reticle. He is asking $1,000 for the complete package. It's a nice package for the price. He showed it to me a week ago.

The rifle is nearly new, having had 30 rounds fired through it.

Also if you can figure out what rifle you want, check out gunbroker. I recently picked up a brand new colt 6920 for $1100, $15 for shipping and $10 dollars to pick it up from my FFL.

Dude go to GT distributors in atx...their prices and selections are amazing. I would say pick up the Daniel Defense they have in. It's a good price and sick weapon.

I think many people read the FAQ's located here on the one for Postal Service an interpret it as the rule, instead of reading the next question.

I think there also may be some carriers that don't want to ship handguns to a private person, but not sure.

so...

let's say i purchase a rifle and or a handgun from someone in Dallas.... they can just put this in the mail directly to me at my house , and neither of us have to worry about FFl.... ???

i have bought handguns w/in the state before and all "had" to be shipped via FFL.....

No, read the Q&A in the links above. You can ship a long gun in-state via the Postal Service. You must ship a handgun in-state through a common carrier (UPS, FedEx, etc.) that will accept the shipment to a private individual. It is legal per the ATF.

However, if it makes you feel better for the person on the receiving end to get it through an FFL, then that is your choice to require it.
